The Ted Breihan Open is named in honor of Ted Breihan, a community leader for more than half a century and a member of the LBJ Museum Board of Directors for 14 years.
A graduate of Texas State University in 1953, Breihan served on the San Marcos City Council (1974-1980) and the boards of the Southside Community Center, the Scheib Center and the Campus Christian Community Center.
“The LBJ Museum is honored to name our annual golf tournament after a dedicated community benefactor who gives much to San Marcos,” said Dr. Ed Mihalkanin, Board president. “Our goal is to invite donors to enjoy a day on the golf course, have some friendly competition, have fun—and raise funds for the LBJ Museum.”
